Mr. Schmit embarked on an initial career of intensive criminal trial work in Washington D.C. He then moved to California and continued to develop litigation experience working for the Federal Court of Appeals. Prior to founding his own firm in 1986, Mr. Schmit was an associate at Finnegan and Marks in both personal injury and workers’ compensation cases in both administrative hearings and jury trials.
